NBC slashes space, extends lease in namesake Chicago tower

The NBC Tower, located at 454 N. Columbus Drive, has been the company’s namesake building since its completion in 1989. The building is currently owned by real estate investment trust NBCUniversal and serves as the headquarters for NBC’s Chicago-based news operations.
The terms of NBC’s lease extension were not disclosed, but the company’s decision to stay at the NBC Tower demonstrates its commitment to the building and the city of Chicago. NBC remains a prominent tenant in the tower, which also houses other high-profile tenants in the media and finance industries.
